Build Publicity
About a month before your bag is set to arrive get the PR going. The best way to do this is to get in touch with your local paper
You’ll find all contact details online. Send a very short, concise description of the project and why local residents would want to be informed.
Be sure to keep everyone involved up to date on the status of your project and ask them to talk to the local papers for you. This will guarantee a nice big front page article.
You will recieve an arrival date when you upload your artwork. You can print up the calendar below and fill it in with local community events and other opportunities to give out bags in a meaningful manner. Take the calandar to the environmental groups and have them sign up to table at the events. Go to as many of these as you can to make sure that people are really talking about the seriousness of the paper and plastic bag issue--the whole project is about changing people's habits afterall!
